Trndez is a joyful holiday in Armenia. People call it also “Terndez” which are different variants of “God be with you.”Trndez is a celebration symbolizing the coming of spring. Originally, the fire symbolized the birth of Vahagn and the young women jumping over it were said to have done so in order to bear strong and intelligent male children. he Church adopted this holiday as one of its own for possibly this very reason. People make fires in their yards, make circles and go round the fire, and in the end they jump over the flame. Newly-weds jump over the fire, and they receive gifts. As a rule, the fire was built of engaged girls, visiting their future. It was considered to be a celebration specifically for the future brides. The fire would be left to burn until there was nothing left bat charred branches and ashes which were taken home by the family members in order to protect the household and bring in good luck.
Հայաստանում Տրնդեզը ուրախ տոն է: Մարդիկ նաև այն կոչում են Տերենդեզ, որոնք <<Աստված քեզ հետ>>-ի տարբեր տարբերակներն են: Տրնդեզը տոն է, որը խորհրդանշում է գարնան գալուստը: Սկզբում կրակը խորհրդանշում էր Վահագնի ծնունդը կրակի վրայով թռչող կանանց, ովքեր ասում էին, որ այդպես են արել, որպեսզի ծնեն ուժեղ և խելացի մանուկների: Եկեղեցին որդեգրել է այս տոնը, որպես իր սեփական տոներից մեկը հենց այդ պատճառով: Մարդիկ կրակ են վառում իրենց բակերում, շրջան կազմում և պտտվում կրակի շուրջը, իսկ վերջում թռչում կրակի վրայով: Նորապսակները թռչում են կրակի վրայով և ստանում նվերներ: Որպես կանոն, կրակը կառուցում են նշանված աղջիկները: Այն մասնավորապես համարվում ապագա հարսնացուների տոնը: Կրակը վառվում է մինչև ճյուղերը ածխանում են, որոնք էլ ընտանիքի անդամները իրենց հետ տանում են տուն, որպեսզնի այն պաշտպանի ընտանիքի անդամներին և հաջողություն բերի:
